REX requires that each customer and additional driver meet the REX rental qualifications.
REX requires that the renter meet the minimum age and provide:
• Reservation number confirmed by REX.
• Passport
• Valid driver license for renter & each additional driver.
• Valid credit card.

Cancellations |
|
|
|
|
|
REX will not charge the customer a fee for canceling the reservation,
but REX appreciates if you contact our reservations department on reservas@rex.cu
|
|
|
Payment |
|
|
|
|
|
REX accepts the two following payments:
• Credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Cabal), excluding credit cards issued by American Banks.
• Cash (Cash deposit & Credit card as a guarantee)
• Terms of payment are net cash and in local currency CUC.
• REX shall conclusively determine any currency conversion. REX reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue payments.
• If payment is made by credit card, the signature of the renter on the original copy of the rental agreement and on the credit card slip shall constitute authority for REX to debit the total amount of the rental on his credit card. When the customer requests to pay with Credit Card, REX will charge the credit card the amount listed on the RA in USD according to the official exchange rate listed by the Cuban Central Bank (BCC). |

Fuel |
|
|
|
|
|
The customer will receive the car with a full tank that will be charged at the beginning of the rental. The amount will depend of tank capacity regarding car model. All REX cars are using “super especial gasoline” except hyundai TQ which uses diesel. |
|
|
Additional driver |
|
|
|
|
|
All co-drivers have to be written in the contract with a valid driver license, passport number when the car is checked out. Otherwise, the insurance, CDW will not cover for any damage made by the driver even though he/she be able to show a valid driver license.
Each additional co-driver will be charged 10 CUC on the contract. REX will maximum accept 2 co-drivers per contract.
Co-Drivers are not authorized to :
- Return the car at end of the rental.
- Receive refunds.

Extra equipment |
|
|
|
|
|
REX offers child seats to the customers. To guarantee that a child seat is available at the check out station, this has to be requested when the reservation is made.

Insurance |
|
|
|
|
|
For an additional daily charge REX offers a Super CDW coverage that eliminates the customers self risk in case of an accident. Customer have to accept this coverage for renting the car.
Super CDW
The Super CDW is an special package REX offers to eliminate the self risk to 0 CUC, according to rental terms written on the rental agreement.

Driver license |
|
|
|
|
|
The renter has to present REX a valid driver license (minimum one year experience) and the license must be valid at the time of rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. If the driver license from its original country is not written in Spanish or English, a international driver license have to be shown.

|
Airport fee |
|
|
|
|
|
REX charges 20 CUC Airport fee in rentals starting in REX
Airport offices.
|
|
|
Minimum age |
|
|
|
|
|
REX request a minimum age for the renter;
• Group B, C, D, E, F, G, H - 21 years old
• Grupo I - 30 years old (Audi A4 cabriolet).

|
Returning of the vehicle |
|
|
|
|
|
• The customer has to return the car
according to the agreed date, time and station.
• The car has to be returned in the same conditions as when the car was rented.
• If car is returned with damages
REX will charge the customer according to the insurance police and rental conditions
• REX could charge a fee for returning the car in other offices than Habana ones.

|
Traffic Violations |
|
|
|
|
|
Parking tickets and any traffic violations are the responsibility of the renter. REX will charge these tickets to the rental agreement according to the Cuban law.
