REX requires that each customer and additional driver meet the REX rental qualifications.
REX requires that the renter meet the minimum age and provide:
• Reservation number confirmed by REX.
• Passport
• Valid driver license for renter & each additional driver.
• Valid credit card.
• The cash rental qualification if the customer pays cash

Cancellations |
|
|
|
|
|
REX will not charge the customer a fee for canceling the reservation,
but REX appreciates if you contact our reservations department on reservas@rex.cu

|
Payment |
|
|
|
|
|
REX accepts the two following payments:
• Credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Eurocard & JCB Cards)
• Cash (Cash deposit & Credit card as a guarantee)
• Terms of payment are net cash and in local currency CUC.
• REX shall conclusively determine any currency conversion. REX reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue payments.
• If payment is made by credit card, the signature of the renter on the original copy of the rental agreement and on the credit card slip shall constitute authority for REX to debit the total amount of the rental on his credit card. When the customer requests to pay with Credit Card, REX will charge the credit card the amount listed on the RA in USD according to the official exchange rate listed by the Cuban Central Bank (BCC). |

Gasoline |
|
|
|
|
|
The customer will receive the car full of gasoline. All REX cars are using “super especial” which is required . If the tank isn't returned full, REX will charge the customer the difference according to the refulling charges which is written on the rental agreement at the rental time. |
|
|
Additional driver |
|
|
|
|
|
All co-drivers have to be written in the contract with a valid driver license, passport number when the car is checked out. Otherwise, the insurance, CDW will not cover for any damage made by the driver even though he/she be able to show a valid driver license.
Each additional co-driver will be charged 10 CUC on the contract. REX will maximum accept 2 co-drivers per contract.

Extra equipment |
|
|
|
|
|
REX offers child seats to the customers. To guarantee that a child seat is available at the check out station, this has to be requested when the reservation is made.

One way fee |
|
|
|
|
|
REX will charge "one way fee" if the car is checked in on a different station less than 48 hours from check out time. This charge also includes the car return in a different station than that stated at the rental agreement without previous information to REX.

|
Insurance |
|
|
|
|
|
For an additional daily charge REX offers two types of coverages CDW & SUPER CDW that reduce or eliminate the customers self risk in case of an accident. Customer have to accept one of these two coverages for renting the car.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
If the rental car is damaged and the customer has accepted the CDW the coverage will cover the cost of repairs and the customer will be charged the agreed self risk of 300 CUC, excluding “I” category that has a self risk of 500 CUC. This is known as the excess. This applies regardless of whether the customer were at fault, according to rental terms written on the rental agreement.
CDW is mandatory for drivers aged 21-30, or if you are paying by check or cash.
Super CDW
The Super CDW is an special package REX offers to eliminate the self risk to 0 CUC, according to rental terms written on the rental agreement. REX offers Super CDW only on rentals of 3 or more days.

Driver license |
|
|
|
|
|
The renter has to present REX a valid driver license and the license must be valid at the time of rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. If the driver license from its original country is not written in Spanish or English, a international driver license have to be shown.

|
|
Airport fee |
|
|
|
|
|
REX doesn't charge Airport fee on the rental agreement.
|
|
|
Minimum age |
|
|
|
|
|
REX request a minimum age for the renter;
• Group A, B, C - 21 years old
• Group D, E, F & H - 25 years old (Minimum 3 years of experience).
• Grupo I - 30 years old (Audi A4 cabriolet).
|
|
|
Returning of the vehicle |
|
|
|
|
|
• The customer has to return the car
according to the agreed date, time and station.
• If the customer returns the car in different location than agreed REX will be able to charge a "one way fee"
• The car has to be returned in the same conditions as when the car was rented.
• If car is returned with damages
REX will charge the customer according to the insurance police and rental conditions
|
|
|
Traffic Violations |
|
|
|
|
|
Parking tickets and any traffic violations are the responsibility of the renter. REX will charge these tickets to the open rental agreement according to the Cuban law.
